Ai x Reader: The legend

A/N: It’s story time~ I used to read stories before bed xD I hope you enjoy

(h/c)= hair color

Ai quickly opened up his computer, looking for information on (y/n). H e didn’t know too much about that (h/c)-headed girl. The computer results were out and it was…blank.  He blinked a few times at the computer screen. Pure white?

Ai jumped from his chair to the door. He grabbed a jacket along the way as he slammed the door shut. He left the apartment building and dashed to the jewelry store across the street. There was this certain necklace he was interested in.

The bell ringed as he stepped inside. Instantly the heater warmed his cold body. Ai rushed to the display section and noticed the necklace was gone. He sighed deeply before shoving his hands in his pocket.

“That necklace,” the shopkeeper said. “I saw you looking at it a few days ago so I saved it for you”.

Ai turned around in surprise. The shopkeeper walked up to him and gave him a lacey box.

“There’s a legend associated to this necklace” the shopkeeper began.


“Long ago there was this prince who was searching in the woods for a rare treasure. He didn’t know what to get for the girl he liked. He thought that if he gave it to the girl, she would accept his feelings for her. However it was a long and difficult journey. Eventually the prince obtained the necklace and he gave it to the girl. The girl happily accepted and they lived many long years with two children. This necklace has been passed on to many generations. Every one of the boys stumbled on what to get for the girl that they like”

“I’m guessing that you have someone you treasure?” the shopkeeper said with a smile.

“I-I do have someone I treasure” Ai said. He wasn’t sure what (y/n) thought about him.  Either way he’ll confess. Ai reached in his pocket to pull out a credit card.

“You don’t have to pay, just go give it to her”

Ai nodded and quickly ran out of the door. The bell ringed its merry tune before joining with the silence. The shopkeeper smiled before he headed back to the cash register.

“I wish him good luck”

“(y/n) Ai yelled and rushed to the girl, who was walking on the streets with a bag in hand. She glanced behind her and a smile quickly adorned on her face.

“Ai,” she exclaimed. “I have your present right here!”
She reached into her bag and gave the neatly wrapped present to Ai. Ai said thanks and gave her his box, containing the necklace. (y/n) looked at the box in her hands and admired the design before opening it. She gasped as she took the necklace out and stared at the glowing pendant. It looked so magical. The blue light would turn lighter and then darker, reflecting its crystal reflection on (y/n)’s clothes.

”Ai…this is beautiful” (y/n) said.

“(y/n) there is something I want to talk to you about” Ai said as he held (y/n)’s hand.

“What is it?” (y/n) asked.

“I love you” Ai said and avoided (y/n)’s eyes.

(y/n) blushed as he said those words. She shook her nervousness away and yanked on Ai’s hand to look at her.

“I love you too” (y/n) said quickly.

Ai held her other hand in his and leaned in. His nose brushed against her by accident. He mumbled an apology and tilted his head. (y/n) felt his lips brush hers.

“Merry Christmas” he whispered in her ear.
